The initiative and inspiration for PsychCare Psychological Services came about by Keshnie Lalbahadur after being in private practice and then working at an Employee Wellness company for several years, gaining expertise in psychological assessment and psychotherapy. She has cross sector exposure and experience in the management of a broad range of psychological problems, psychological crises and organizational issues impacting adults. Subsequently, Keshnie draws on this experience in her work with clients and various EAP/EWP providers in the Gauteng area, providing psychological intervention to a range of individuals. Having worked at McCord Hospital and the Meyrick Bennet Child Guidance Centre in Durban, Keshnie brings strong clinical experience from working with children and adolescents having academic, emotional and behavioural challenges. She has also worked with adolescents and young adults as part of the Umsobomvu Youth Fund coordinating lifeskills training, career guidance and promoting youth programmes in semi-urban and urban areas. In addition, she has been involved in MBA postgraduate dissertation supervision and moderation, and the development and facilitation of skills based programmes. Keshnie is a registered Counselling Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. Having completed a BA (Hons) and Postgraduate Diploma (Psychology) qualifications, she then went on to complete a Master of Social Science (Psychology) degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She is very passionate about psychological wellness and working with people in a collaborative way to assist them to lead more meaningful lives.
