We don’t have a mission statement, a slogan or a marketing plan. Our life and work is dictated by the land and our family values and traditions. We do have a business plan. But unlike a normal business plan that is broken into years, ours is broken into generations. We are much more concerned what our great-grandchildren will think of our actions, than wine journalists, banks or the stock market. We are less interested in quarterly reporting than climate change, managing vineyards to live for 50 or 60 years and family succession. We think of weather through the lens of a century of rainfall data. We think of our actions through the lens of legacy. We think of our role in society through the lens of meaningful, sustainable community upliftment that will still be beneficial in a generation’s time. Our daily focus is beautiful in its simplicity - to craft unique wines the reflect the energy of their terroir, we add joy into the world. In a small way, we are here to make the world a better place, one exceptional bottle of wine at a time. We believe it takes a team and great partners around the world, working together and for each other, to pull this off.
