The Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention seeks an end to the suffering and casualties caused by anti-personnel mines through the pursuit of four core aims: ensuring universal adherence, destroying stockpiled mines; clearing mined areas and assisting the victims. There are 164 States Parties, who together, have destroyed in excess of 52 million landmines. The Convention's LinkedIn page is administered by the Implementation Support Unit (ISU). The ISU is the secretariat to the 1997 Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on Their Destruction.
