Jan Waring Woods, CPA is the Managing Partner at Jan Waring Woods, CPA, LLC. She established her own accounting firm in January 2012 after 27 years of practicing in a large regional firm. Jan was a former partner in the accounting firm of Gamble Givens & Moody, P.A. and also a partner with Dixon Hughes Goodman, PLLC upon its merger in November of 2006. Jan has served clients since 1984 in the area of accounting, auditing, taxation, forensic accounting and management advisory services for individuals, commercial businesses, governmental agencies and nonprofit agencies. Jan graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Accounting. Jan currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Summerville Dorchester Chamber of Commerce, Dorchester Free School Board and Crisis Ministries. Jan’s past board service includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance, Summerville Town Council, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Vestry. Jan’s honors and distinctions include participating in Leadership South Carolina Class of 2004 and being included in the Summerville Journal Scene’s 2010 Women to Watch. Jan is also a Member of AICPA and the SC Assosciation of Public Accountants.
