PBEC’s Story Established in 1967, PBEC was established to be a bridge between government & business; to bring attention to the opportunities and potential of an emerging Asia that sought the same prosperity and growth as a post-war Europe and the US. 50+ years on, PBEC has been an active participant in its extraordinary development over time. Our own story is closely aligned to that of APEC - Asia Pacific Economic Council, as its progenitor. Our role in providing Authentic Intelligence to our Members & acting as the independent voice of responsible business & trade across Asia Pacific continues to bring value to our Members and the societies in which they operate.
