www.rmcc.org.auRichmond Multicultural Children's Centre was established to provide community based childcare services and family support systems which are: Community managed – to ensure that decisions about the way in which the Centre is run will be made through a management structure involving parent users; Culturally relevant – to ensure that the service reflects, accommodates and reinforces the different cultural backgrounds of families using them to support and resource a multicultural focus for the Richmond community in relation to their children and family needs; Flexible – to ensure that the service caters for a range of care and education needs ofchildren in Richmond and recognise the special needs of the community; Network developing – to ensure that the service assists in developing supportive arrangements and friendships between local families and in promoting co-operation between other local services. To provide a standard of care which is conducive to all individual children’s developmental needs. To make representations and recommendations to government and non-government bodies on any matters which may affect the operation of the Centre. To operate the Centre not for commercial gain but for the wellbeing of the children and the families using the Centre.
