Tulola Designs is a modern, luxury jewelry brand that partners with artisans to incorporate exquisitely handcrafted details into our collections. Tulola was first started in 2007 by designer Sri Luce-Rusna. Sri opened the Tulola Studio working on one-of-a-kind art wear pieces focused on elevating traditional craftsmanship techniques into new levels. Sri’s work caught the attention of Happy Salma, who shared a common passion for Indonesian culture and artisan work. When Franka Franklin-Makarim joined as co-founder, bringing with her years of extensive retail, e-commerce and management skills into the company, the business grew exponentially. The company’s founders all shared a vision of building a sustainable business that promotes the evolution of artisan silver and gold craft, deeply inspired by Indonesia’s culture, arts and even literature.
