Funky SX was formed in early 2009 due to the Directors passion for music and radio, driven by their knowledge of demand for such a service within our young local community. Funky SX as an FM radio station gained an instant following due to the presenters and DJ’s who all had their own fan bases either from previous music releases, past online radio shows or club residencies in the area. Guided by the directors with a combined radio broadcast experience of over 30 years, we are a strong team of over 20 volunteers consisting of experienced business men and women, with many years of management, business acumen and a great knowledge of financial sustainability in radio, the music business and event planning.
