The company’s first products are a ground breaking sorbent system and a sensing system used together with a novel sorbent-based Portable Artificial Kidney (“PAK”). The PAK aims to increased portability and reduce fluid requirement of hemodialysis treatments, which allows patients to perform hemodialysis in the comfort of their homes (home hemodialysis, “HHD”). Our sorbent technology allows full hemodialysis functionality of the PAK, at a weight of less than 10kg and with minimum requirement for treatment fluids (5-6 litres instead of 25-30 litres).
