Shady Canyon is part of the Turtle Rock section of Irvine, California. This community is bordered by Quail Hill, James Irvine Retreat and Bommer Canyon. Shady Canyon is 800 acres in size and is surrounded by 16,000 acres of natural sanctuary. The 800 acres of Shady Canyon is made-up of 300 acres of golf club and 500 acres of residential development, dedicated open space and trails. Shady Canyon is a guard gated community with 400 residences spread over three unique neighborhoods. Shady Canyon is known for its generous sized lots. There are many types of architectural styles in Shady Canyon including Mediterranean, Tuscan and French Provencal. Among the many resort style amenities offered by the homeowners’ association are a Junior Olympic size pool, spa, clubhouse, tot lot, outdoor recreational areas and tennis courts. There are extensive trails that run throughout this area for hiking, biking and walking.
