Bioanalytik-muenster is a regional network of •universities •research centres •enterprises •transfer institutions •investors which have joined forces in this non-profit-making organisation. Bioanalytik-muenster (founded in November 2000) provides a central communication and information platform for scientists, entrepreneurs, investors and members of the public who are interested in bioanalytics. Purpose The purpose of the organisation is to promote science, research and education in the field of bioanalytics in the Münster region. Aim The aim of the organisation is to develop the Münster region into a leading bioanalytics location with the emphasis on nano-bioanalytics. From February 2004 to September 2008 bioanalytik-muenster coordinated together with the Atomic Energy Commisssion (CEA) in Grenoble the EC Network of Excellence Nano2Life to strengthen the European scientific and economic leadership in nanobiotechnology. By taking part in various EU projects the organisation expands its Network trans-regionally.
