www.ayad.dkAfghan Youth Association in Denmark (AYAD) is a nationwide organization for young Afghans residing in Denmark. AYAD was established by General Assembly on 28th November 2009. AYAD is an organization that respects all religious beliefs, political views and ethnic groups. The mutual respect and understanding of our differences are some of the important pieces of AYADs foundation! AYAD aims to: > Strengthen cohesion between young Afghans in Denmark through community-related projects and social activities. > Work to create networks across the city limits, education, employment, etc. > Motivating more young people to participate in society and become active citizens in the Danish society. > Strengthen young people's knowledge and understanding of their own background and culture, in order to strengthen the personality (identity). > Strive to provide the Danish population a more nuanced picture of Afghanistan, the Afghan culture and people. > Discuss and develop projects aimed at understanding the conflict in Afghanistan,to engage in development projects of Afghanistan through partners.
