MTS Research provides technical analysis services in the form of regular publications and consultancy advice, catering for a number of different investment approaches from absolute and relative returns to long-only and long/short. The company has a global client base of blue-chip financial institutions ranging in size from members of the global Top 10 to start-up hedge funds, and stretching from the West Coast to Tokyo, via New York, London, Frankfurt, Zurich and the Middle East. MTS was founded in 1989, by Peter Beuttell. Peter gained a BA in Economics from Warwick University in 1974, and trained as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in London, qualifying as an ACA in 1979. During the 1980's he worked as a Director of Hill Samuel Pensions Investment Management, and as an ERISA portfolio manager at Morgan Grenfell. He is a self-taught market technician with 33 years experience, 27 of them specialising in Elliott Wave Theory. In 2011, MTS was nominated as a top 5 finalist in the Technical Analyst Magazine Awards for Best Equity Research and Strategy and Best Specialist Research (Japanese equities) categories.
