We’re an undergraduate design team at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University that is participating in the 2022 NASA Spacesuit User Interface Technologies for Students (SUITS) Challenge. For this challenge, we are developing a space suit heads-up display (HUD) using the Microsoft HoloLens II headset. The HUD will enable astronauts to display suit vitals and accomplish tasks such as navigation, terrain sensing, and lunar rover control. We consist of students from the Department of Computer Science, the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and the School of Visual Arts!
