Nanyang Capital was founded in 2016 by a group of like-minded students to establish a student-run investment club at Nanyang Technological University. The club quickly gained traction, and is one of recognised club today amongst the student community. Over the years, the club hosted many events, some directly with well-regarded corporate partners. We are focused on bottom-up stock picking, with an investment horizon of around 1-2 years. We are sector and region agnostic, measuring our performance on an absolute return basis. Through this fund, we seek to expose our members to the field of investment management, develop their analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, and equip them with the necessary competencies to launch their career in the banking and finance industry. The management team believes strongly in the value of giving back to the roots of success. Hence, we strong promote the values like respect and integrity. This has, undoubtedly, allowed us to build a strong network of alumni to provide our members with vast learning opportunities. Our members have professional experience in banks (J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sach, Deutsche, Citi, Barclays, BAML, SMBC and more), buy-side firms (GIC, Temasek, BlackRock, Point72, SeaTown Investments, Apollo Global Management and more) and private equity firms across a variety of fields like Investment Banking, Sales and Trading, Transaction Banking, Asset Management, Wealth Management, etc. This expanded network enables Nanyang Capital to impart the industry knowledge to the club members and provide pertinent career advice.
