AAFC manufactures hindered phenolic antioxidants. These are used in the food industry as antioxidant preservatives to extend shelflife, and in industrial applications as antioxidants for Biodiesel, modifiers in polymers, oxygen scavengers etc. AAFC is based in South Africa, and was originally set up by AECI. Currently AAFC operates independantly and has extended globally with subsidiaries in Latin America and Middle East.
