metáfora – who are we? When it comes down to it, metáfora is an adventure: three young translators, passionate about languages, communication and cross-cultural exchanges. We’re all originally from French-speaking Switzerland and crossed the Röstigraben language divide to study at the ZHAW in Winterthur. Together, we got our Masters’ in Professional Translation in 2016. Full of energy, we were inspired to join forces and decided to start our freelance journey as a trio, offering our clients professional translations with direct contact and tailored support. It was all about pooling our resources, skills and experience in the interests of our clients. Being able to better respond to their needs. Being flexible, available and delivering good quality – and what better way to ensure this than to always have a second translator on hand to go over our work? At metáfora, we juggle words and cultures to translate texts of all kinds from German, English and Spanish into French, our mother tongue.
