Elephantech Inc. is a printed electronics startup that realized the world's first inkjet-based flex PCB manufacturing system. We have raised nearly $10M so far, bult our own factory in Tokyo, and are manufacturing for our clients, mainly Japanese electronics manufacturers. Our printed electronics technology drastically reduces the cost and flexibility of flex PCB manufacturing and we are also developing further printed electronics applications such as low-dielectric PCB and printed sensors. Elephantech's P-Flex® flexible PCB is an environmentally friendly Flex PCB manufactured by the Pure Additive™ process. The Pure Additive™ process, developed by Elephant Tech, combines inkjet printing and electroless copper plating technologies and uses a completely different approach to manufacturing: metal nanoparticles are printed only where they are needed to form a circuit, and the metal is grown on top of them. Since our process achieves the desired copper pattern by printing and growing metal on film, it not only eliminates the need for copper foil production and CCL manufacturing processes, but also the etching process that melts and discards the copper foil.
