John A. Swain began is career in 1990 after earning a degree in finance from Sacramento State. In 1992, Swain co-founded a large group employee benefit brokerage named Kelley & Swain, which served many of the largest private sector employers including Campbell Soup, Tri-Valley Growers, Sunclipse, Bloodsource, and Foster Farms. Much of firm's success was linked to the partner's passion to save clients money and improve the level benefits to employees. In fact, the firm help Campbell Soup save 1.9 million dollars out of a 7 million dollar budget, while improving the benefits to the employees. It was an accomplishment that earned the HR director the highest award in the company. After selling his interest and working for the 3rd largest insurance brokerage in world, Swain decided to build a new advisory firm that serves small to mid sized employers. His mission to save money and improve benefits is still a driving force in how he approaches business, however, his focus is on small to medium sized closely held businesses. Swain Health Insurance Solutions specializes in business health insurance and benefits plans. The team is dedicated to solving the budget problem of providing good health insurance and benefit plans to employees that they want, while preserving the business profits.
