De Stoomstichting Nederland is opgericht op 30 januari 1976. De SSN stelt zich ten doel '..... historische, door stoom aangedreven werktuigen en transportmiddelen in bedrijfsvaardige staat te houden en te herstellen en deze zodoende voor het nageslacht te bewaren....' (Artikel 2 van de statuten van de SSN). ============= Stoomstichting Nederland was set up on 30 January 1976. Its aim is 'to restore historic steam driven machines and vehicles in working condition and to preserve them for future generations...' (article 2 of the SSN statutes).
