The overwhelming majority of households are multi-generational; the elderly and the sick remain part of the community and are cared for in this way. Only one in four nurses from the Philippines has the opportunity of working there within the profession. Filipino nurses have a college degree; their education is of high quality and lasts three years. The degree is titled ”Bachelor of Science in Nursing“ and can be recognised in Germany.
