Radio Communications Company in Cedar Rapids Iowa (RCC-CR) was created in 1964 by two technicians specializing in two-way radio service. Appointed as a General Electric Service Shop (GESS), their main focus was installing and maintaining General Electric two-way radio systems in the commercial-industrial and public safety markets. Over the years, RCC-CR, maintained various systems in a 100 mile radius with a staff of 3 to 4 employees. In 1988, RCC-CR made a commitment to expand their market and services. Additional personnel were hired and a larger facility was purchased and remodeled. Relocation to the present facility at 2131 North Towne Lane NE was completed in 1989.
