FAST is a stakeholder-led institution and has positioned itself as a national think tank and advisory company with the main objective of addressing policy, commercial, development and operational challenges in promoting the use of solar thermal power in India. It strives to identify and generate ideas for the popularization of solar thermal technologies in the country by providing a platform for research, networking, advice and advocacy to scholars, practitioners, investors and governments on creating an enabling market-based competitive and commercial environment. FAST also encourages and works closely with the stakeholders to expand the use of solar thermal technologies, strengthen research and development, facilitate to remove market barriers and improve education and outreach of solar thermal technologies in the country.
