Today it is one of the most prominent and iconic expressions of the local spirit of Bolgheri. A wine cellar in constant dialogue with its vineyards, curated by a team of Tuscan oenologists and agronomists. Science and human handiwork, precision viticulture and manual skill all blend together in perfect harmony, in search of the purest representation of Bolgheri, a perfect synthesis of its rich and multifaceted character: the marly soil of the hills, so rich in minerals; the sea, which has a strong effect on the local microclimate and enriches the soil with prehistoric sand; and time, which allows for the evolution of the wines. Campo alla Sughera brings all those elements together thanks to careful, sustainable, manual management of the vineyards, which have all been scrupulously divided into microsites based on their specific characteristics, each of which is vinified separately. Triple selection means that only the most mature grapes reach the cellar, where they are processed slowly and with no forcing or shortcuts. The final result is authentically local wines, inherently balanced, powerfully elegant.
