S. Pin Architect is an award-winning Kuala Lumpur based firm that strives for holistic approach in architecture which includes urbanism, landscape design & interior design. The firm is currently involved in a large number of projects throughout Malaysia. S. Pin’s architecture spins out from careful exploration of the relationships of buildings, nature, social-culture & economy. We believe architecture can be the front runner of global technology advancement, a movement maker that changes the face our contemporary life, much like the communication technologies. By ever pushing the envelope of innovative design, the creative team hopes can make a change in how architecture, nature, social-culture & economy co-exist, to create better living environment. In 2015, we started ‘Architect For Left-over Spaces’ which focuses on the revitalisation works of neglected open spaces & old buildings as an endeavor to give back to the local socio-architecture environment, assisting towns & cities to facilitate change in the least explored territory. Some of the firm’s accolades are winning PAM Awards 2010, Futurarc Green Building International Competition 2008, Jalan T.A.R. Monument Design Competition 2015 and Piscine Global Pool Vision 2017, shortlisted for World Architectural Festival 2014. The principal, Tan Sih Pin, has been selected as one of the emerging ’30 under 40’ Malaysian architects in 2011 by Malaysian Institute of Architects (P.A.M.) and was one of the feature speaker at Malaysia Design Week 2014.
