I’m a Chicago-based commercial photographer specializing in portraiture, editorial and architectural photography. My dearest friends would tell you I’m a talented artist or a great storyteller (maybe both?). And I guess that’s what I love about my job - I get to tell stories with visual art! I grew up watching my Dad develop film in a makeshift darkroom; however, I was more interested in drawing and painting. I studied design in college, but I went on to work in sales and management. After a crippling recession, losing my Dad unexpectedly, and a cross-country move to Chicago I needed a creative outlet. I completed a two-year Certificate Program at the Chicago Photography Center and quit my proverbial day job in 2013 to pursue my true passion full time. Hence the name rebirth! I love the way a photo can stop you in your tracks and leave you breathless, or communicate an unspoken emotion in a way no other medium can. I can do things with a camera that my hands could never quite achieve with charcoal, paint, or clay. There is an amazing feeling when you have a vision in your mind, and you collaborate with people to make it a reality. That’s what gets me out of bed in the morning: using my skills to bring ideas to life. I’d love to do that for you!
