We started the production of Poliurethane foam in 1976, using a discontinuous process. To improve productivity and quality, we invested in a continuous slabstock machine in 1982. During the eighties our foam, under the CORDEX name becamme widley know in the Portuguese market. On July 16th, 1998 the Cordex foam plant, was partially consumed by a fire. Shortly after this incident, the decision is taken to build and a new grass roots foam plant, build and designed to be able to respond to the market needs in this new Century. FLEX 2000 is born. Since 2000, the Flex2000 grew and consolidated its position in the Iberian market through the quality of its products and services and a large commercial aggressiveness. Our company has grown and developed what is technically able to compete with companies from European reference. It occupies today a covered area of 63.000 m2 and is proud to hold several certifications and recognitions of their products. We regard the future with great optimism and we want to continue to grow in markets where we operate promoting greater competitiveness of our customers adding value to their business and protecting them from threats of globalisation.
