Den Tunge Radio ( The Heavy Radio) is a radio station run by a volunteer organisation called Det Tunge Team. This organisation is based in Aarhus and is responsible for make Heavy metal radio in Aarhus as well as on the internet. Den Tunge Radio started in 2013 with broadcasting 7.5 hours weekly in the local 98,7 FM network. in 2012 the hours was increased to the maximum of 15 hours weekly. Primarily in the night time . From 2015 the station launched the 24/7 online radio playing music nonstop with no commercials and lots of different music. The mission is to: * Strengthen the metal community by making a metal radio MetalHeads wants to listen to * Make metal music more available by constantly delivering quality radio. * Spreading the knowledge of Danish metal in general and new releases danish as well as international, by cooperation with record labels, artist and event coordinators
