Family Day Care home based care is intimate and like home. Children develop in small group situations with a primary Educator. Older and younger children can be placed in the same home. Educators can accommodate parents with unusual working hours and days. Children mix with older and younger children and learn from each other. All Educators are registered with and supported by local Family Day Care services. Our aim is achieved through the following objectives: To promote the well – being of children and to encourage discussion and exchange of ideas relating to children and their needs. To inform and support those involved in Family Day Care. To coordinate and act on problems specific to Family Day Care in NSW. To act as a body on research, education, publicity and submissions relating to Family Day Care. To disseminate information relating to Family Day Care. To act as an advisory body. To liaise with Government and non-government organisations. Educators and Services are accessed and rated against the National Quality Standard to ensure quality and continuous improvement. Children aged between the age of 6 weeks and 12 years are nurtured in a small group setting and through the Educators individualised programming, are encouraged to further develop their skills and knowledge.
