St Brides Care was founded in early 2019 with a vision to provide warm, inviting, modern and funky homes with consistent care and support to looked after children and young people. Our homes are based in leafy suburbs of Swansea, South Wales, within walking distance to large green spaces and local beaches. Our location is also a short journey from an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and National Parks such as the Brecon Beacons. Our ethos is to provide and encourage children and young people in our care to participate in the many outdoor as well as indoor activities on our doorstep. We believe in providing children and young people every opportunity we possibly can to reach their full potential. We use therapeutic principles on a daily basis to meet the emotional and behavioural needs of the children and young people in our care. Our organisation carefully matches and places children within our homes whom may have experienced or be at risk of criminal and/or sexual exploitation, absconding, offending behaviours, non-engagement in education, self-harming behaviours, as well as children and young people whom may in their past have been subject of/witnesses to physical, emotional, sexual abuse, neglect and domestic violence. The children and young people placed within our homes may have experienced inconsistent care and multiple placement breakdowns or this may be their first care placement. We strive to provide consistent care and boundaries along with a nurturing environment to ensure children and young people feel safe and are provided the opportunity to meet their full potential.
