After graduation, I was a public interest lawyer for 15 years with the United Farm Workers Union, Legal Aid Society of San Diego and San Diego County Public Defender. During my time with the Public Defender's office, I was a Supervising Public Defender and tried many serious cases including homicides and a death penalty.
