The largest nation-wide network of Korean American voters, the Korean American Grassroots Conference (KAGC) is dedicated to uplifting the Korean American community through active civic engagement. Specifically, through voter registration, civic education, community mobilization, as well as raising awareness of critical community issues among members of the U.S. Congress, the KAGC contributes to building a stronger voice for the Korean American community, as well as becoming the bridge between our homeland and motherland. With over 30 community partner organizations across the nation, the KAGC hosts a national conference every July in Washington, D.C. The 2017 KAGC national conference drew over 600 community members representing 97 congressional districts across 24 states, including 200 undergraduate students. 18 members of Congress from both sides of the aisle joined the 2017 KAGC in celebration of their constituents' and the Korean American community's active civic engagement and in support of a robust U.S.-Korea alliance. In between the national conference, the KAGC also supports local community leaders in developing and implementing voter registration and civic education programs on the grassroots level.
