Our focus is the economic empowerment of poorer people in Asia's developing economies. Quay Asia works on private sector initiatives around workforce development including vocational education and training with a particular interest in women's participation in the labour force. Informed by a fundamental analysis of the labour market our activities aim to be economically sound, financially sustainable and make use of our own innovative training approaches. Quay Asia uses a range of business models to achieve our aim of contributing to a productive workforce. We design and market training courses for individuals looking to equip themselves for their first job or for a potential career move. Similar programmes can also be developed for in-house training for international and local businesses. All our training programmes are backed by labour market research and designed to be cost-effective, yielding the most benefit to the client at the right cost. Significantly we are also capable of starting or investing in new enterprises in agriculture, manufacturing and service sectors that offer significant employment opportunities for poorer women and men. Most likely we will join with businesses to enhance ongoing ventures or work together on new initiatives in line with our goals and business values. Implementing programmes supported by bilateral and multilateral donor organisations is also a core capacity and an important approach for us to achieve our aims. Our competences include programme design, research and evaluation, and providing technical advice to Governments in developing economies.
