To the Public we are a charity which works to support other voluntary organisations to operate effectively, and to set up new services to the public. We also develop and support the creation of new voluntary activity within North Lincolnshire, constantly working to our charitable purpose: “the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness.” To the Voluntary Sector and Local Community we are a one-stop-shop for advice and services including: the Volunteer Centre which promotes the best practice in volunteering, and ensures that a wide range of opportunities are available to all sections of the community. We also offer administrative, IT and financial services to voluntary community groups such as: Room & equipment hire. Typing & printing facilities. Advice and support on charitable & organisational funding opportunities. Representation & negotiation services for voluntary community groups. Financial services such as community accountancy & payroll services. IT assistance with website design, network setup & installation, computer upgrading etc. To the Private Sector we are a useful link to the voluntary community. For example we currently work with Tata Steel to organise team building volunteering activities that benefit the local community.
