The Modern College of Design is an award-winning design college founded in 1983. The Modern opened a 23,000-square-foot addition at its Kettering, Ohio, location in January. Jessica Barry, SAA owner and president, is a 1997 graduate of The Modern. She purchased the college in 2013 and has led a five-year enrollment increase of 86 percent. On July 20, 2018, its transformation into The Modern College of Design becomes official, reflecting the organization’s commitment to continually developing new curriculum and programs.
