Simuka Africa Youth Association ("Simuka Africa") is a registered voluntary charitable organization (NGO) striving to empower at risk youth to reach their highest potential. The organization is managed by a network of young professional volunteers who commit their time, talents and resources towards developmental efforts and humanitarian interventions. The organization was established in 2006 in Norton, Zimbabwe by young people who wanted a platform where they could channel their energies, talents and resources towards challenges that were affecting their communities. Simuka Africa invests in programs, services and facilities that promote young people’s rights and help alleviate poverty in communities. Key initiatives include the following: • Building Sustainable and Safe Futures for Girls and Young Women in Africa Project • Empowering Young People through Vocational and Entrepreneurship Skills Development • HIV, AIDS and Sexual Reproductive Health Education Program • Psycho Social Support for the Orphans and Vulnerable Children • Rehabilitation of Boreholes and Food Donations MISSION To promote young people's initiatives on life skills development and economic strengthening. We strive to alleviate poverty and break the cycle of child marriage which leaves many young girls and women without education and no voice to decide their future.
