The MPH program has a rigorous curriculum taught by faculty who bring real-world experiences, and solutions to promote healthy communities into the online learning environment. The MPH degree allows students to choose elective courses that fit their personal and professional goals. Many students choose to concentrate their electives in specific areas based on knowledge gained from their core curriculum coursework. The entirely online program is specifically designed to fit busy lifestyles. The program is perfect for mid-career professionals who want to engage in public health, as well as recent undergraduates from a variety of disciplines including psychology, social work, anthropology, business, law, dietetics, nursing, and more. The MPH may be taken in conjunction with other master's and terminal degree programs at Michigan State University. The online course delivery and learning system, Desire 2 Learn (D2L), offers asynchronous courses so that students with different schedules, in a variety of time zones are able to complete the required assignments when it is most convenient for them.
