The School of Habitat Studies was established in 2006 with an aim to create, disseminate and apply relevant and useful knowledge about planning, design, development, management, regulation, and governance of sustainable habitats. The school focuses on providing a comprehensive response to the knowledge-related needs of the society in the habitat sector. The school facilitates rigorous debates and discussions between faculty, students, and industry experts which complements knowledge dissipation through its accomplished faculty, which also excels in research. It gives as much focus to research as to the implementation part with many courses dedicated to understanding practical knowledge of the subject. The Habitat School has 4 academic programmes (courses), spread across 4 Centres. The school also has 5 Centres solely dedicated to Research – Centre for Science, Technology, and Society, Centre for Environment, Climate Change and Sustainability Studies, Centre for Regulatory Policy and Governance, Centre for Urban Policy and Governance, and Centre for Water Policy and Governance. The Masters Degree Programmes are as follows: 1. M. A/M.Sc. in Climate Change and Sustainability Studies 2. M. A/M.Sc. in Regulatory Policy and Governance 3. M.
