Edeng was founded in 2004 in Beijing, China. The vision was to have a free online classifieds site where buyers meet sellers. Edeng was acquired by OLX in October 2007 as part of their global portfolio in online classifieds. In 2012 Edeng underwent another ownership change during a management buyout. Since then it has been steadily evolving and is now the 4th largest online classified website in China
