The Mechanical Engineer position is responsible for the engineering of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, and community buildings. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Develop mechanical drawings for construction of HVAC systems Perform load calculations to determine system size Ensure mechanical codes and specifications are implemented Initiate and execute frequent exchanges with others to resolve areas of conflict and promote a supportive team approach Perform technical evaluations and reviews of documents Perform field visits to document and verify existing equipment and systems Required Qualifications: B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred 4+ years experience in HVAC engineering (required) Exceptionally self-motivated and able to bring projects to completion with minimal supervision Excellent communication skills and experience/proficiency in PC use and application Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with building and HVAC systems- Experience with AutoCAD Benefit package includes: Medical & dental insurance Life, short-term & long-term disability insurance (company paid) 401(k) Retirement and profit sharing plan (including company match) Paid holidays Paid vacation Send cover letter and resume to: Dan Herder (DLHerder@alliedmechanical.com)
