A Greener Festival Ltd
www.agreenerfestival.comA not-for-profit company committed to helping events, tours, venues and festivals around the world adopt environmentally efficient practices. Founders of the worlds first green event standards - the AGF Awards. We provide information, education resources and facilitate the exchange of good ideas. The purpose of this site is to provide information about how environmentally efficient methods are currently being employed at music and arts festivals and to provide information about how the impact of festivals on the environment can be limited at future events. We hope to do this by building an exchange of the best ideas from greener festivals around the world. We consult with organisations and events of all scales from Glastonbury Festival, AEG, The Queens Platinum Jubilee, RHS, Royal Parks, The O2 Arena, Wembley Arena, to small grassroots organisations. All of our activities are to create a greener live events ecosystem globally. Since 2007, our ‘Greener Festival Award’ scheme has assessed over 700 festivals worldwide; it has been instrumental in helping festivals to adapt or refine their actions, improving resource efficiency and environmental impact. In 2017 we launched the "Greener Event Award" and since the "Greener Arena Certification" and "Greener Tour Certification" which now works with Conferences, Trade Fairs, Sports Events, Arenas, Venues, Ceremonies and more. Why Apply? Aside from the publicity gained from being part of the awards scheme, the process ensures that events complete an Environmental Impact Assessment to understand, set targets, monitor and improve environmental performance. This is beneficial not only for our environment and the industry as a whole but also sets events at a competitive advantage to those who don’t grasp this vital knowledge.
