www.ualr.eduAPAC is dedicated to improving the quality of public service. This work is accomplished primarily through management training for government employees (federal, state, county, and local), elected officials, and non-profit professionals. To meet your needs, APAC can design training programs for your employees. We also offer a variety of programs including: Professional Development Workshops – develop specific management skills. Topics include Writing for Business in the Public Sector, Project Management, Managing Conflict, and more. The Arkansas Certified Public Manager® (CPM) Program – is a nationally accredited, comprehensive management development program. It is specifically designed to develop leaders in government agencies and organizations with a public purpose. The Certified Group Facilitator Program – equips participants to effectively design, manage, and lead groups to meet desired goals. The Certified Volunteer Manager (CVM) Program – teaches volunteer professionals how to effectively lead their volunteer program. Planning Official Training – focuses on those involved with city Planning Commissions in Arkansas. They teach knowledgeable planning, ethical leadership, and skilled meeting management. The Certified Arkansas Planning Official (CARPO) Program – helps Planning Commissions serve their communities. APAC training programs are in-depth and develop the practical skills required of public managers. Instructors are vetted carefully to make sure they have significant knowledge of their subject area through work or teaching experience. Training programs include significant levels of interaction to apply content to participants’ professional lives. Certifications require capstone experiences where participants apply the skills they have developed to their own professional lives. APAC is a cooperative program of the University of Arkansas Little Rock, the University of Arkansas, and Arkansas State University.
