If we respectfully hear each other out and work together rather than against each other, we will be able to tackle society's challenges with our full potential. We promote listening to everyone, including those with different or opposing opinions to our own. By doing this, we can merge the best parts of each side into a better solution. Let's fight against problems rather than against each other. We believe in taking everyone's views into respectful consideration because, at our core, everyone wants the same things. We all want to feel safe, comfortable, have joy in our lives, and have our voice heard. We all have this, and so much else in common. Yet, many of us focus on our differences, thinking our beliefs on how to obtain these goals for ourselves, our loved ones, and our country are more valuable than others. On either hand of an argument, each side argues why the other side is wrong rather than respectfully trying to consider their view and hear them out. Choosing to argue rather than have a respectful conversation is one of the main driving factors for the massive division in our country. A heated and biased argument does not work to find a solution but to prove a point. What if we worked together to find a better answer solution than either side could come up with on their own? Then we could more efficiently make progress to fix the enormous problems that plague humanity. It is this idea of looking at an issue from perspectives other than our own so that we can see the whole picture that we work so hard to promote.
