www.goodfoodchina.net“What’s For Dinner?” (2009), directed by Jian Yi and produced by Mia MacDonald and Brighter Green, was the first Chinese short documentary on the meat industry and its en-vironmental and social impacts. Film screening tours were kicked off in 2014, followed by social media activities that promote mindful eating. In 2017, the effort evolved into the establishment of the Good Food Fund (GFF) under the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), in partnership with Brighter Green. Since China and the United States (US) are two of the world’s largest economies and largest producers and consumers of food as well as countries that have the biggest impact on the planet’s environment, we endeavor to bring together change-makers in the two countries to work hand in hand to make our food system healthier and our planet more sustainable.
