Clover Magazine

www.clovermidd.com

Clover Magazine was founded in 2020 as a platform for the students of Middlebury College to think critically on the world of fashion within our own boundaries and on a global stage, provide an outlet to capture and create new forms of sartorial expression, and redefine what New England fashion can be. Our team is (obviously) fascinated with the art of fashion: how it can be used as a tool for personal expression, work as a funnel for creative impulses, the way in which a singular piece of clothing can help affirm one’s sense of identity. But with that comes an acute recognition of how its commodification and industrialization has spawned and continues to perpetuate a host of issues within our society and our planet. The world of fashion at large profits off of a definition of beauty it has decided to define for itself. We hope that Clover Magazine can help fashion exist outside of these restrictions, and highlight the innate intersectionality of how an individual comes into their style and into oneself.
