Mission Statement: The Open Door NJNY empowers marginalized immigrants to reach their full potential and successfully integrate, participate and contribute to their mainstream society with an end goal of strengthening their families. The Open Door provides (NY and NJ) immigrant adults with 5 levels of ESL instruction, GED/TASC preparation and computer literacy; all free of charge to students. The Open Door also provides a literacy-based program for children between the ages of 4-12. Finally, The Open Door fosters a strong sense of community, often referred to as familia.
