In 2010 Jaganathan Rajagopal has started “Raise Your Voice” with non- monetary items left from his home by using the used items (Old Newspaper, Carton Box, Old Clothes, Old books, Comic books & Toys) to improve the situation of the underprivileged child & Old age people. Took help from different people to support underprivileged children school fees, note books, clothes etc. In 2016, we thought of register the community name from “Raise your voice” to “Lamp Educational and Charitable Trust” Lamp Educational and Charitable Trust is a registered non-profit organization dedicated for the most needed deprived children to Educate, Empower and Transform. With a Mission to support and educate the lives of the downtrodden children irrespective of their Religion, Caste & Community and to work towards the up-lift of those children. The Lamp Educational and Charitable Trust serves towards the establishment of the rights of the children. Provide them Proper Education. To work on scale to improve the basic learning and proficiency skills of children; create low-cost, model program replicas that can impact policy and practice at the Central and state government levels; increase awareness about the importance of children’s learning outcomes among all participants in education, and provide vocational and skills training leading to job opportunities for youth from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We have started with providing free tutorial services on different subjects to under privileged students and we are empowering women to start their own business by conducting tailoring classes. Through our career counseling, we are helping and motivating youths to seek the best job opportunities.
