FOCI, The Umbrella Body For Construction Companies In Nigeria. Federation of Construction Industry, FOCI, is not-for-profit umbrella body for construction and allied companies in Nigeria. FOCI provides a platform for its Members to pursue common interests within the law, liaise with relevant government agencies in matters of common interest and regulate the minimum conditions of service for employees in the construction industry. Founded in 1954, FOCI has been the mouthpiece of construction companies in Nigeria. Some of the activities of FOCI are as follows: · Safeguarding Members’ interest and ensuring fair and equitable treatment. · Advocacy on behalf of Members. · Representing Members collectively and individually. · Examining legislative measures and advocating as need arises. · Negotiating with the Workers Unions minimum conditions of employment in the Industry. · Protecting Members against strikes or disputes with Workmen.
