Rhode Island Students of the Future (RISF) is an all volunteer non profit organization in Rhode Island that promotes STEAM learning through youth robotics. We are the Operational Partner for FIRST LEGO League and manage a season of FLL programs and events for 70+ teams. RISF partners with the Humanity Centered Robotics Initiative at Brown University to produce the Robot Block Party, a celebration of robotics in Rhode Island, held annually in April. Voted "Best of Rhode Island" in 2015, this event brings over 50 exhibitors and over 2500 spectators to Providence to celebrate science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics in industry, academia, community organizations and K-12 school. RISF leads professional development programs for teachers and informal educators.
