The Leipzig Heart Institute (LHI) is a company founded in 2015, half of which is supported by the Leipzig Heart Centre and half by HELIOS clinics. The LHI conducts research projects in the field of cardiovascular medicine in close cooperation with the Heart Center Leipzig. New therapeutic procedures in cardiovascular surgery, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology are developed in close and unrestricted cooperation with industrial partners and put into clinical application. Furthermore LHI has created a digital division in order to welcome the Industry 4.0 era, where Big Data, A.I. and Machine Learning meet Healthcare and Research for the purpose of improving the treatment process. In the next years to come the LHI aspires to expand its position globally in terms of innovation and advancement on the field of heart research.
